Mum's the
Word was founded by Michele Nizza in January 2001. Her vision—to provide
prenatal, birth and postpartum/breastfeeding support for mothers and
families in her hometown of Monterey, California—was driven by her desire
for expectant parents to have a solid foundation on which to build their
families. The strength of this desire has since led her to expand her vision
to include families outside of Monterey so that her information and support
is made available to all those who seek it.
